roConnect & Synctrix have joined forces... and that's a good thing!
So What is Synctrix?
Synctrix is a tech company that specializes in building web based applications and tools that take advantage of the cloud sync concept.
What does this mean for roConnect?
roConnect is already a great product. Synctrix is committed to making high quality products that look great and are easy to use. This means roConnect is getting a facelift along with a streamlined setup (no more mamp or wamp!), not to mention an entirely new native media center for your desktop, whether you're a mac or a pc - we don't hate. With one click installs and setups, you never knew that streaming your media could be so easy!
What does this mean for me as a user?
As part of a new suite of products, the roConnect channel for Roku will be getting even better and more powerful. It's being rebuilt from the ground up to work seamlessly with the fabulous Synctrix Player. Synctrix Player will be replacing the desktop portion of roConnect and will add significantly to your home media experience.
What does the future hold?
Local network streaming? Pfft! Try the world. What!? Yeah, we know!
